Cloudfone announced that smart phone based on Rockchip SoFIA 3G R is launched
Jan 2016 - Cloudfone, most well-known smart phone and tablet manufacturer in Philippines, has held a product launching press conference in Manila and announced that latest cloudfone smart phone based on SoFIA 3G-R cooperatively developed by Rockchip and Intel, is put into mass production and will distribute worldwide recently.
Cloudfone smart phone adopt SoFIA 3G-R(X3-C3230RK), Quad-core processor; 5 inch with resolution of 1280*720; 1GB+8GB and 2GB+16GB memory specs , support GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800MHz/1900MHz and WCDMA 2100(1900)/900(850)MHz. Front and rear camera pixels are 2 million pixels and 8 million pixels, respectively; the standard configuration is Bluetooth 4.0/WiFiGPS/FM/G-sensor etc.; the system is Android 5.1 Lollipop. cloudfone smart phone special edition is cooperative with most popular movie Star Wars and Disney. It will launch authorized accessories at the same time.

SoFIA 3G-R ?X3-C3230RK?is developed cooperatively by Rockchip and Intel, 28nm manufacturing technology, Intel Atom framework, Quad-core 64 bits processor, positioning in middle-end 3G smart communication products. The Baseband technology of SoFIA chips is widely authenticated in the world and has mature applications. The sensitivity, stability and covering power of spectrum and signal are much better than similar products.

Philippines have become Southeast Asias third-largest smart phone sales market. According to the data released by IDC in 2015, the shipment of smart phone in Philippines has reached 12.4 million last year, only behind Indonesia (25 million) and Thailand (16.5 million) in Southeast Asia.
The analysts said that Rockchip and local manufacturers in Philippines have achieved win-win cooperation. Taking advantages of SoFIA 3G-R (X3-C3230RK) and integrated supply chain solution of Rockchip in China, cloudfone will rapidly extend its market share in Philippines. Using the experience of successfully cooperating with famous brands in Indonesia and Africa, Rockchip will realize the goal that SoFIA 3G-R can occupy communication chip market in the near future.

Use Snipping Tool To Capture Image On PC Screen
Capture Portion Of Your PC Screen Without Downloading 3rd Party Apps
When we want to capture images, texts, or portions of our screen in our PC, we commonly download a free 3rd party applications to do it or install an extension on our browser to have this feature. Most of us do this when taking notes with illustrations or on websites that has disabled copy and paste option.
What many of us dont know is that, you need not to download any additional application or Internet browser extensions to be able to do it because it is already available in Windows System. I have been using computer for two decades now but I admit that I am one of the many users that didnt know about it.

There is actually a tool in Windows Operating system that we rarely use because we werent aware of it. This tool is called Snipping Tool and can be found under Windows Accessories. We may have seen it there but we dont know what is for or how to use it.

Using this tool, you can capture an image (pictures, texts, illustrations) of your whole PC screen and webpages or just a portion of it and save it as an image. It is a very light application which has basic features perfect for note taking. Re sizing and adding texts on the image is not included in its features.
All you have to do is type on your search bar Snipping Tool or go to all files and open Windows Accessories Folder. When you see the application, double click on the icon to launch the application.
Click on New button and you will see a large white cross (+). Click and hold on that cross then drag it adjust which portion of the screen / page you want to capture.

It will show you the image of your captured screen / area before saving it. This allows you to change the image if you dont like it by clicking the new button. You can even edit it by putting labels or highlight some things in the image before actually saving it in your computer.

You will be then asked to save the captured image and youre done. Your saved image can be found in your Pictures Folder.
So why download additional / 3rd party open-source applications just to capture a portion of your PC screen when theres a tool already available in your computer? It will help you save space on your disk and could avoid you from downloading applications that are infected of Malware and Bloatware ads.

How does the 3D on the VKworld Discovery S2 work
VKworld has released a unique smartphone with naked-eye 3D display--Discovery S2. It claims to be the world’s very first 3D phone with finger print sensor. It features various 3D sources like image, movie and game. One of the most frequent 3D effects we know is mainly applied in 3D movies which require 3D glasses for viewers. However, when you enjoy 3D material on the Discovery S2, you don’t need any glasses. This is because it employs one of the most advanced and difficult 3D technologies--barrier. Now, let’s see how the 3D effect works.
1. There is a parallax barrier between the TFT-LCD-BLU and the LCD panel;
2. The barrier will convert the image into extremely thin vertical stripes and then control these stripes with the LCD panel behind it;
3. The images received by left eye and right eye will be blocked respectively to separate the images from both eyes, and then our brain will automatically combine the images to create a 3D image.
As the world’s very first phone with 3.0D Corning® Gorilla® curved glass and real naked-eye 3D effect, the display of Discovery S2 features the latest technology of thin-film barrier. Although this new technology costs 30% more expense than the old technologies, it has many advantages:
1. It makes the screen much thinner and lighter; This is the third generation of barrier. The thickness is reduced to 0.05-0.28mm, while the thickness of last generation is 0.3-0.45mm. And the weight of this display is only 10% of other 3D technology.
2. It costs less power and reduces dizziness and sickness from viewing 3D display;Because the third generation of barrier doesn’t need to detect the LCD panel and 3Deffect all the time, it can save 60% power compared to the old ones. And many viewers would feel uncomfortable and dizzy when watching 3D effect in regular displays. 3. It enhances the 3D effect and maintains high resolution without losing brightness and color saturation. For many regular 3D displays, viewers often have to find the perfect viewing angle and the displays look very dim. New firmware v 3 0 4 based on Android 5 1 1 for Ugoos UT3 UM3 UT3S TV Boxes
Here is the new firmware for Ugoos Rockchip 3288 devices. We’ve got a lot of detailed feedback about previous release. In this version, we try to consider most of wishes and popular suggestions, catch and fix shortcomings and bags, raise stability and added some new features.
Localization.
In this release, we added new localization packs for a couple of countries: now these are Chinese and Russian localizations. New firmware don’t create their own partition for system files. System don’t divide internal memory onto parts, so you can use it more efficient huge apps installed more easily.
Multi window mode updated.
First, we added notifications and new calendar in sidebar; power button appeared under apps menu. Added hot keys for keyboard: Win button now activate apps menu, Alt+Tab let you switch running applications more easily, Alt+F4 close active app, Win+D minimize all active apps to tray. Multi window mode you can activate from settings menu: Settings - Display – Multi window.
Multi user support added.
This feature helps to customize TV Box not for only one user, but for some of them: change google account by one click; all settings, passwords, theme style and icons attached to user account also secure. It is not a new function for android devices, but different partitions made this feature unstable and causing many issues. Performing one partition scheme made this feature more efficient and user-friendly.
Fireasy app support added.
Fireasy is an application created for the Firefly open-source platform by the Firefly team. It helps users interact with the platform with perfect compatibility. Users can control TV Box, play Android games with your mobile device being a wireless game pad and share media resources with Ugoos Box through the application. You can activate Fireeasy assistant from settings menu: Settings – Ugoos Settings – Wireless Assistant. Mobile application for IOS and Android devices you can download from HERE.
Samba server added.
Samba is a software package that allows sharing files between different OS devices. This feature was one of the most popular functions on Ugoos boxes based on Android 4.4. In android 5.1 we save all the functionality, raise up stability and improve file server speed. Samba server placed in settings menu: Settings – File Server.
Sound improvements.
For those people who wants to play high-resolution sound using special sound cards we added option in sound device manager. Now there is an ability to change sound input and output devices from settings: Settings – Sound and notification – Sound device manager.
Ugoos Launcher.
This firmware release is the first one where we replaced standard IPTV launcher with Ugoos launcher. UT3, UT3s, UM3 users can be first who try what is our new Ugoos launcher. Since Launcher first pre-release the project was on closed beta-testing level. Right now, we are ready to give a chance to try it before official release.
Ugoos launcher is:
- Variety of nine color themes for main launcher elements
- Customizable background: you can choose from a list or use system background
- Customizable desktop icons: amount on one screen, border size, icon background
- New category selector: eight categories + one with all applications
- Quick start of main application from every category
- Adaptive remote controller support
Main changes from previous version:
